(September 16, Shanghai) Medtec China 2020 opened in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center on Monday September 14. Medtec China 2020 is occupying two halls for the first time this year at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, Halls 2 and 4, bringing together more than 500 brands from 27 countries and regions. More than 120 exhibitors made their debut at Medtec China, with the number of Chinese enterprises participating in the exhibition up 21% compared with last year. To help the enterprises with supply chains affected by the epidemic and quickly find reliable suppliers, Medtec China expanded by more than 120 new suppliers after understanding their needs, and providing continuous resource support and innovative power for design and development of medical device production in China. Medtec China accurately monitored the hot spots and development trends of the industry, and launched some new exhibition zones in Hall 4, including the dental application zone, the medical 3D printing zone, the orthopedic R&D and manufacturing zone, and the medical comprehensive service zone. BMF Material Technology Inc., Shenzhen, a global pioneer and leader of micro/nano-scale 3D printing and precision manufacturing, participated in Medtec China again to provide global customers with micro/nano-scale 3D printing system, printing materials, printing technology services and subversive precision manufacturing solutions. Two new enterprises, Toradex (Shanghai) Computer Technology Co., Ltd. and QT Software (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., also settled into the comprehensive medical service zone.

“MDiT Forum and Regulation Summit 2020” over the same period of Medtec China – Quality Track B: How to meet the quality requirements of products in overseas markets under the epidemic situation focused on how to meet the laws and quality control requirements of epidemic prevention materials in the country where they are used in response to the epidemic situation for enterprises. In this year’s Quality Track A: Practice of Risk Management of Medical Product Life Cycle, V.P., Quality Assurance, APAC Operations, Zimmer Biomet Inc., Vice President, Head Office of Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs of UNITED IMAGING, President, Mid-Link Biomedical Technology Group, and Guest Professor, NMPA Institute of Executive Development were invited and shared their experience on site.

On the first day, four technical meetings were held, including Application of Polymer Materials in Medical Devices, Application of 3D Printing Materials and Technology in the Field of Medical Devices, Forum on Packaging and Sterilization of Medical Devices, and Forum on Design of Medical Devices, providing more technical innovation for the audience. Renowned guests shared advanced technologies related to new dressings, molding, orthopedics and dentistry, medical bonding and welding of tomorrow.
