KOCH Pac-Systeme GmbH

Last year, special machine manufacturer KOCH Pac-Systeme in Germany, expanded its machine portfolio in the industry field medical technology with the blister machine KBS-C medplus. The machine has now been honored with the prestigious German Innovation Awards 2021. The innovative machine concept of the KBS-C blister machine convinced the jury and was awarded with the label “Winner” in the competition class “Excellence in Business to Business” of the “Machines & Engineering” category. Markus Böhringer, Application Field Manager Medical Technology, and Kai Kunzmann, Product Manager, proudly accepted the award. “According to the German Design Council, the “Winner” label honors innovations that advance the industry through their originality, implementation and effectiveness – which we have succeeded very well with the KBS-C medplus blister machine,” says Markus Böhringer. “In its compactness and with innovative forming processes, the machine meets the highest requirements for packaging medical technology products. The clean design and quick set-up allow alternating use in the clean room up to ISO class 7 and normal packaging areas. This is exactly the flexibility and perfection that blister machines in medical technology require. And there is still further potential here.” Kai Kunzmann continues. …Our design department is currently already working on the further development of the KBS-C product family. Detailed news will follow soon”.

The German Design Council has been operating since 1953 as one of the world’s leading centres of expertise in communication and knowledge transfer within design, branding and innovation. Since 2018, the “German Innovation Awards” has been presented annually by the organizer. With almost 700 entries in 2021, the German Innovation Awards achieved a great response once again. The award honors forward-thinking companies for their innovative strength in various categories. The focus lies on products and solutions across sectors, which differ from previous solutions mainly by being user-centred and offering added value. The entries are evaluated from a jury, that is made up of independent, interdisciplinary experts from industry, science, institutions and finance. Main criteria like level of innovation, user benefits and efficiency are based for the adjudication process.
