Conference on Supporting Services for Medical Device Companies Overseas Expansion

September 24th, PM | Meeting Room 8 of B2, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai, China

Co-organizers:Medtec China

Background:

Background:

Against the backdrop of continuous expansion in the global medical device market, Chinese companies are accelerating their internationalization efforts. According to industry data, China’s medical device export scale reached over 13.2 billion US dollars in 2023, accounting for nearly 30% of the global market share. Emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East show significant growth potential. The Southeast Asian market size is expected to reach 30 billion US dollars by 2025, and due to its heavy reliance on imported medical devices, it has become a strategic location for companies looking to expand overseas.

However, the path to overseas market is fraught with challenges. From a policy perspective, varying regulatory requirements for medical device market entry across different countries and regions pose complexities. From a market perspective, localizing distribution channels, cross-cultural brand marketing, and supply chain management require systematic support to transition from “products going out” to “brands taking root.”

Currently, the overseas expansion of medical device companies is shifting from the traditional “distribution + trade shows” model toward an end-to-end service ecosystem. On one hand, channel diversification is becoming critical; on the other, building end-to-end capabilities across the entire chain is essential. In this context, this conference aims to create a resource aggregation platform, integrating professional service institutions in law, finance, technology, marketing, and more, to offer companies a “channel + end-to-end” one-stop solution.

Participants:

  • Medical device manufacturers
  • Suppliers, consultants and other organizations serving the medical device industry
  • Hospitals, universities and research institutions
